Hospitality Guru Group is a hotel development/management company that owns and operates hotels throughout the Midwest region and the corporate office is located in Aurora/Naperville, IL. Properties under our umbrella include limited service hotels across several brands, and we are currently working on a full service development. We have built a strong relationship with many different partners in the industry including financial institutions, counsel, real estate companies, and top-line management personnel.
Sanjiv Mehrotra

Sanjiv has been the visionary for the organization and used his experience and skill set to grow the company. He has gone through several renovation projects and turned around many properties by doubling to even tripling topline revenes and increasing the bottomline tremendously. His role is to make key decisions and arrange financing for new projects while overseeing overall performance with the help of his qualified team. Sanjiv’s recipe for success has been his strong analytic abilities and helping others who share the same passion for the business with his experience.
Akshay Mehrotra

Akshay grew up working in the hotel industry and went on to graduate from Indiana University Kelley School of Business with a BS in Finance and Real Estate where he led teams to winning several case competitions in real estate development and portfolio management. Akshay’s role is leading HGG’s Financing arm, finding and overseeing financing for construction and loan renewals, market analysis for new acquisitions, and operational responsibilities like sales and revenue management. Akshay is actively involved in several industry organizations including IHG’s Owner’s Association Holiday Inn Committee, Revenue Management Task Force, and Emerging Leaders Network.
Sejal Patel
Partner
Sejal is an architect by trait with 15 years of experience in design, planning and construction administration. Primary areas of focus include complex renovations, capital planning and development of new hotel projects. Enjoys working with internal and external team members to develop exceptional hotel projects that are well designed, facilitate operations and maintenance, profitable and memorable to all visiting guests. Sejal strongly believes that when building a hotel, great design and attention to detail will produce enjoyable experiences for both the staff and visiting patrons.
Nitesh Singh

Prior to HGG, Mr. Singh was the Owner/Operator at the Comfort Inn & Suites located in Rochelle, IL. As General Manager, he was responsible for the overall strategic direction, development, and operations of the hotel, which offered a positive and interactive guest experience. Prior to relocating to the Louisville metropolitan area where he learned all disciplines of the hotel industry, Nitesh earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Religious Studies with a minor in Physics, Chemistry, and Psychology at the University of Miami. He has over 10 years of experience with hotel operations and renovations. Nitesh’s role spans from operational to hotel acquisitions and development.
Denise Norman
Office Manager
Denise Norman is the Office Manager/Bookkeeper for Hospitality Guru Group. In this role she is our bookkeeper for multiple sister companies and properties. She also serves as administrative assistant, Human Resources, construction administration, vendor contract administration, payroll processing and general oversight of all office related functions. Her past experience as a Controller brings a vast amount of knowledge to our company.
